Train Tech SFX10 Sound System Steam Express Locomotive
Convert any Steam Locomotive to sound with no wires, no soldering and in just a few minutes! This will work with DCC or Analogue .. it doesn't matter as there is no need to power from the tracks or control from your handset.
The System works by a motion sensor attached to the microphone and is easy to install. Best placed into the tender or a coach or wagon behind the Locomotive (saves the hassle of opening the Loco). Simply insert a battery (not supplied - see below) and away you go. The sensor picks up movement and emits the following sounds consistent with a Steam including Steam, Engine, Gear, Coaling, Hiss, Whistle etc. When the train stops the sensor stops the sound emissions consistent again with a real life steam engine. Because the sensor picks up movement and stationary there is no need for a switch to control it. Battery life is approx 100 hours of running
- Easy to fit in seconds - no wiring or switches! - No pickups or wires - works on regular DC & DCC - Self contained capsule - built-in speaker & integral battery holder (see below re Battery) - Tiny - smaller than a 50p: 25mm x 20mm x 12mm - Fit capsule into a loco, tender, wagon, coach.... - Real recorded sounds from a Steam Loco
While this is a real recorded sound of a steam loco the sounds are generic and not specific to a class of Loco
Battery
Due to Aviation Rules it is not possible to ship this Airmail with the battery. Battery required is a Lithium CR2032 which can be easily obtained locally. If you see this advertised for export with the Battery included, you are risking having your item destroyed by Customs!
